Story


Susie Poneman founded Heavenly Hydrangeas Floral Design in 2005.  For over 15 years, she and her team enhanced events in the
                metropolitan DC area with their exuberant, unexpected florals.  Clients spanned Hollywood stars to the U.S. Supreme Court to the White House.                                          During the pandemic, the business wilted when social gatherings contracted.  
Susie has now discovered a new art form with dried flowers set in lucite-like resin.  She gathers and presses flowers, foliages, and other natural materials from her gardens and the woods.  She presses them and arranges them into unique gardens that capture moments in time.   Each piece is a one-of-a-kind work of art.  If you would like to own one of the Gardens, please contact Susie.  She accepts custom work.
